For the past 11 years, Novacom has been privileged to help build homes for families in need in El Salvador. We’ve done this through the support of employees travelling to El Salvador to join in the building effort, as well as by helping purchase the materials needed to build the houses. Last year, we took a team of 15 people to the Victoria region of El Salvador, and built 20 homes in one week!
Novacom is taking a team of 15 to El Salvador from January 5-13, 2019, with the goal of building 20 more houses!
Our team members will be working alongside our Salvadorian friends in each community to construct the homes. The costs of the home building materials are raised through generous donations from businesses or individuals. All team members are responsible for the costs of their own flights, accommodations and meals.
We invite you to join us in the building effort, by helping contribute to the home material costs. The deadline for donations is November 30, allowing enough lead time for the supplier to manufacture the kits before we arrive in January. These pre-fabricated homes are purchased from a local supplier, at a cost of $3,400 CDN each. If you’re able to partner with us, select the level you wish to contribute as follows;
Platinum Partner (2 Houses) – $6,800
Gold Partner (1 House) – $3,400
Silver Partner (1/2 House) – $1,700
Bronze Partner (1/4 House) – $850
The organization we’re partnering with on this project is Shelter Canada (www.sheltercanada.ca). All donations for Shelter Canada are managed through The Great Commission Foundation (www.tgcfcanada.org), and are tax receiptable.

- To donate by cheque, please make the cheque payable to “The Great Commission Foundation”, with “VT-1901-01B House Costs” on the memo line, and send to Novacom’s Office at #101 – 18663 52nd Avenue, Surrey, BC V3S 8E5
- To donate by credit card, go to this link (https://www.sheltercanada.ca/donate), select our team VT-1901-01B from the Designation drop down list, and put “House Costs” in the gift designation box.
- Any credit card donations will have a 3% admin fee applied to them in addition to the donation amount.
