Mahon Park Childcare Centre and Fieldhouse

Location: Mahon Park, North Vancouver, BC

Square Footage: 6,130 SQFT

This project involved the construction of a new childcare centre and fieldhouse for the City of North Vancouver at Mahon Park, one of the city’s most active community parks. The facility combines a purpose-built childcare centre with a fieldhouse serving the park’s sports fields, including public washrooms and bookable change rooms for teams and park visitors. Delivered as a bonded, design-bid-build project under a CCDC 2 contract, the build had to work around active park use while providing safe, welcoming spaces for young children, families and the wider community. The City of North Vancouver entrusted Novacom to deliver a lasting civic asset that brings early learning and recreation together under one roof.
