Coast Mountain College Library
The Spruce Building, the main academic building for Coast Mountain College’s Terrace campus is undergoing a two-phase revitalization which started with a new state-of-the-art library. Honouring the First Nations community, the design incorporated many details to reflect elements that are considered important to the culture and heritage of the community, while creating a comfortable and welcoming space for students and visitors of the college. We are very proud of all our trade partners and team members who made this project a success.
After suffering an overnight flood, the entire basement level of the Spruce Building required a refresh which included a complete gut of the space including abatement due to the age of the building. Novacom was hired as Construction Manager for pre-construction in the form of a CCDC 5A contract and then converted to a Lump Sum CCDC 2 Contract for Construction. The new fit-out included M&E upgrades to the space, full fixturing and extensive millwork.
